Legacy

"One day, I hope that I can become a chemo nurse, and help people like all of the nurses have helped me. Now I really want God to show me how I can help people who are less fortunate than me, and people who need to know the Truth."

While Esther only had 3 months left to live as she wrote these words, God allowed her to leave a legacy through her story and her giving.

In her will, she left her money to 3 causes close to her heart:

Christian Aid

On a train one day, Esther noticed a poster which boasted that just £3 could provide a mosquito net for a child at risk of malaria.

This not only led to her generous donation, but also inspired her mum to take up a full-time working role in the Legacy department of Christian Aid. She has had countless opportunities to share Esther's testimony and raise awareness. To this day, funds continue to be raised for this cause in her memory.

Water Aid

Esther had a deep-rooted passion for those who are 'less fortunate'. Water Aid most certainly share this passion, meeting a most desperate need in poverty-stricken homes.

Homeless Fund

Esther set up her own local homeless fund to provide sleeping bags, blankets and warm clothes to the most needy in her hometown, London. To this day, we continue to raise funds toward keeping her legacy alive and providing these items along with a cup of coffee, food and gospel tract (or printout of her story). Especially in winter months, we have many opportunities to share the love of Jesus. Through fundraising events and donations, we as a Church have been driven to never give up the vision she had for the homeless.
